Terms of Service

Jaunty helps you keep track of your classes. These terms explain how the app and this website work, and what to check before relying on a timetable.
These terms cover the Jaunty iPhone app and jauntyhk.app, provided by Jaunty. Contact us at support@jauntyhk.app if you have a question about them.
App license
If you obtain Jaunty through the App Store, the end-user license agreement applicable to that download governs your license to the app. Apple applies its Standard EULA when no custom agreement is supplied. You can read the Apple Standard EULA. These terms explain Jaunty-specific use and do not replace the applicable app license.
Using Jaunty
Jaunty is free to use. It has no subscription, in-app purchase, or required Jaunty account. Basic features need an iPhone running iOS 17 or later. Some features also need a supported device, an available system model, an iCloud account, or permission from iOS. See device and feature requirements for details.
Check important timetable details
Screenshot recognition and on-device AI can produce an incomplete or incorrect draft. Holiday information, commute estimates, reminders, Live Activities, and Dynamic Island displays can also be inaccurate or late. Review courses, dates, times, and rooms before saving an import. Check important arrangements against your institution's official information. Jaunty is an independent timetable app, not an official system of any school or university. See known issues for current limitations.
Your content
You keep any rights you have in the timetable entries, notes, and images you add. Make sure you have permission to import, export, or share material from another source. Jaunty does not claim ownership of your timetable. How the app handles this information is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Storage, backups, and external services
Your timetable is stored on your device. If you use iCloud features, sync and encrypted backups use your private iCloud storage. Optional features may use Apple Maps or a public holiday source. Availability and handling by those providers are subject to their own services and terms. The Privacy Policy explains when information is shared. You control copies you export to Calendar, Photos, or Files. Before changing phones, make a backup and check the restored timetable using our backup guide.
Website and brand
You may link to this website and share timetables you export from Jaunty. The Jaunty name, icon, website text, and original artwork belong to Jaunty or their respective rights holders. Please do not present yourself as Jaunty, imply that we endorse you, or deliberately interfere with the website.
Updates and availability
We may update the app and website to improve or fix them. Features that depend on iOS, iCloud, device capabilities, or outside information sources may change or become unavailable. If these terms change, we will publish the revised text here with a new effective date and make material changes clear on this page.
Legal rights
We work to keep Jaunty useful, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation or error-free imports, estimates, and alerts. Nothing in these terms limits your rights or Jaunty's responsibilities where applicable law does not allow that limit.
