The person behind Jaunty.
I made a timetable app for myself. My friends liked it, so I kept going.
How it started
Built for my timetable.Shared with my friends.
A personal project, shared.01WHERE IT STARTED
The semester was busy enough.
My school timetable was awkward to use on my phone. Putting it into my calendar meant entering the classes, times, and rooms one by one. Other apps put useful features behind a paywall. I wanted something that worked for me.
02FROM MY PHONE TO MY FRIENDS’
Then my friends liked it too.
I mainly built Jaunty for myself. When I found out my friends liked it, I realised the thing I had made to solve my own problem could help them as well. That gave me a reason to share it.

03TOOLS & CREDITS
What I build with.
I had learned iOS and web development before starting Jaunty. AI tools help me work faster as I build the app and its website. These are the technologies and tools behind them.
- The app
- Swift · SwiftUI · Xcode
The language, native interface, and development environment behind Jaunty on iPhone.
- Reading a timetable
- Apple Vision · Foundation Models
Text recognition and supported on-device AI for the import workflow.
- At a glance
- WidgetKit · ActivityKit
Home Screen widgets, Live Activities, and Dynamic Island integration.
- This website
- HTML · CSS · JavaScript · GitHub Pages
Plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with WebP screenshots and hosting on GitHub Pages.
A native, read-only watchOS companion and timetable complications.
Type, images, and visual credits
Inter by Rasmus Andersson and the Inter Project Authors is the website’s Latin body typeface. Font licence
Barlow Condensed by Jeremy Tribby supplies the About page’s display type. Font licence
Noto Sans CJK contributors, including Google and Adobe, provide the fonts used for the homepage’s bold Chinese statement. Font licence
The screenshots show the real Jaunty app. The maker illustration was made with OpenAI image generation. It shows a symbolic figure from behind, rather than a portrait or my actual workspace. The line icons are original SVGs. System fonts provide fallbacks.
Got a timetable frustration of your own?
That is how this started. Tell me what gets in your way, or what would make Jaunty more useful to you.
